== About Diplomatic Standards  ==

What is a Diplomatic Standard? It is the world's first [http://diplomaticgoods.org/2009/284/the-underlying-notion-of-an-open-standard/ open standard] for [[Organic food|organic goods]]. 

We are an active community that represents and believes in a new way of regulating - a new way of making sure that what we eat is exactly how we want it to be. Think of it as [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia Wikipedia] meets regulation. We believe that you should understand the importance of having an unclouded source of sustenance. For that purpose, you may now participate and collaborate to co-produce and co-regulate a new guideline that will ultimately reflect us and the intended quality of organic goods. You have now the power to say and categorize what is organinc food and what is not. 

On this site, you and I, together with anyone that believes in the quality of the food they eat, now have the opportunity to transform the organic industry as we know it. Whether you are a small or big farmer, a certifier, a health conscious eater or a mother, you have the power to now directly shape the content of what you eat, diplomatically.<br>  

== The participants  ==

We have created here a community of volunteered individuals. These individuals that participate in the process are the fundamental unit of the Diplomatic Standards Community and it's work. The DSC believes that the process works best when focused around people, rather than around organizations, companies, governments or interest groups.
